On Tuesday, April 2, a meeting of the section “Mathematical Support of Modern Telecommunication Systems” of the international conference “Mathematics in the Constellation of Sciences” will be held.
The department of Computer Systems and Automation was established in 1970, at the initiative of the first Dean of the CMC faculty – Academician A.N. Tikhonov. The first head of the department was L.N. Korolev, the patriarch of Russian programming, who headed the department until 2016.
The primary direction of research and educational activity of the Department, from the very beginning, is investigation of interaction between software and hardware of computers and computer networks.
Currently, the Department researches and teaches various issues of distributed systems and modern network technologies, including Software-defined Networks (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), cloud infrastructures for Big Data processing.
