Currently there are 2 laboratories at the DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTING SYSTEMS AND AUTOMATION:
Computer Systems Laboratory
Head of the Laboratory – Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Smelyansky Ruslan Leonidovich.
The laboratory was founded in 1982, in 1984 it received the status of a research laboratory, and in 1985 it became a separate division of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Mathematics (under the scientific supervision of ASVK).
Main objects of research in the Computer systems Laboratory are distributed computing systems and networks, including real-time control systems.
Computer Systems Laboratory was the first research laboratory in the field of Information Technology at the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics
Laboratory of Cloud Computing Management Systems
Head of Laboratory – associate professor Vitaly Aleksandrovich Antonenko
In 1993, due to the expansion of the field of activity, part of the Computer Systems Laboratory team was allocated to the affiliated laboratory of Sun Systems in Education and Scientific Research, renamed in 2005 to the Laboratory of Information Systems in Education and Scientific Research (LIS), then to the Laboratory of Information Systems Security (BIS), and, finally, in 2018 – to the Laboratory of Cloud Computing Management Systems (LCCMS). Main objects of research of the laboraytory – various aspects of cloud computing management.
Laboratory tasks
- carrying out theoretical and experimental research;
- development of algorithms and programs, creation of layouts of computer systems;
- implementation of developed methods, algorithms, programs and equipment layouts in scientific and industrial enterprises and universities;
- organization of practical training, coursework and diploma works in the laboratory for students of the ASVK department of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics.
Collective scientific results of the department and laboratories can be viewed here, publications – here.
In fact, members of the department and both laboratories work closely on research projects. Therefore our team members are presented conjointly. For each employee, a link is provided to their ISTINA information system profile, where you can see a list of associated publications and other achievements.
